In order to implement discipline and ensure our students are striving to work hard; we monitor our internal students’ progress through mock examinations- these are designed to reflect their performances in the actual exams. We will now be extending this opportunity to external candidates who wish to be assessed on their exam content and offer meticulous feedback to aid them with their personal revision. These exams are aimed to simulate a true exam setting and enable students to familiarise themselves with the correct procedures of sitting an actual paper. Our students are allocated a mock exam timetable, a list of topics they must revise, followed by a detailed report that includes their results and target grades which are based upon their individual performance.
We believe that mock examinations are an invaluable tool in preparing our students for any exams they may have in the future. Any students achieving below a grade C will therefore be obliged to attend a target-review meeting, in order to assess what improvements need to be made and to highlight the techniques that need implementing to facilitate the improvement of any low grades.
Mock exams begin in the second week of January for a duration of one week. All mock examinations take place in our centre on Robin Hood Lane and are carried out under uncompromising examination conditions. Students are forbidden from taking any of the following items into the examination hall:
- Mobile phones
- MP3 or MP4 players
- Potential Technological or Web enabled sources of information
N.B Students who are found in possession of these items will be expelled from the examination hall and will also be disqualified from attaining their overall qualification.

Individual timetables will be issued 2 weeks prior to the exams taking place. The subjects have been split so that there is a maximum of two core per each exam period for any level, this will ensure that students can focus thoroughly on the content of each subject which will prove better reflective of individual performance, than attempting to sit all the subjects in a one week period.
